US Envoy™ Fund
Harvesting Heritage. Sustaining Craft. Empowering the Farmer.
Six Ways We Stand
with the Farmer
Where the Fund Works
Agricultural Development
Microgrants and technical help for soil restoration, pest management and seed quality, so smallholders raise yields without losing flavor or character.
Infrastructure Renewal
Building and modernizing curing barns, fermentation houses and storage, so traditional methods meet modern standards of safety and efficiency.
Education & Apprenticeship
Training the next generation, with local schools and cooperatives, in leaf selection, rolling and aging — knowledge that is at risk of being lost.
Cultural Preservation
Oral histories, archives and regional exhibitions that record the art of tobacco cultivation and tell the farmer’s story with honor.
Environmental Balance
Water management, reforestation and cleaner curing technology, so that traditional cultivation can coexist with the land it depends on.
Fair Trade & Dignified Labor
Championing fair prices, equitable pay and safe working conditions, so that those who grow and roll the leaf share fully in the value of their craft.
A Covenant Between
the Connoisseur and the Cultivator
Our Charter
The US Envoy™ Fund is the philanthropic arm of US Envoy. It was founded by former diplomats and envoys who saw that the families and communities behind the world’s great tobacco regions were being left behind by shifting economics and social attitudes. The Fund is private, non-commercial and supported by our members. A portion of every member’s dues is set aside for it automatically, joined by private gifts and named endowments. Grants are awarded twice a year to cooperatives and growers in regions such as Cuba , the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Honduras. Every recipient reports on how funds were used and what changed: yield, quality, working conditions. The Fund is strictly non-partisan. It operates under three principles: neutrality, transparency and the dignity of labor.
Helping Farmers Harvest Success
Administered by Rothswell Financial, inc.To harvest success means more than improving output. It means restoring pride, independence and continuity to the farmer’s legacy. Every contribution is a seed of diplomacy, planted in soil that has shaped civilizations for centuries.
