Diplomacy and the Cigar Become One
For generations, the world’s negotiators have ended long days the same way: a quiet room, a well-kept humidor, and a cigar shared between people who had spent the afternoon disagreeing. In those moments, more was often settled than at the table.
US Envoy was founded by men and women who lived that tradition — former ambassadors, special envoys and distinguished members of the international corps. Over careers in service, they came to see that the cigar teaches what diplomacy demands: patience, craftsmanship and respect for those who came before.
They also saw something troubling. The communities that grow and roll the world’s finest tobacco — above all the legendary Cuban leaf — were quietly eroding under economic, regulatory and social pressure. So they pooled their networks, relationships and resources to found a private fellowship with a dual purpose: to celebrate the art of the cigar, and to stand, discreetly and effectively, with the people who make it.
A Cigar Is Not Merely Smoked.
It's Contemplated, Shared
and Respected.
Our Mission
Preserve Tradition
We honor the artisans and farmers whose skill and heritage define the cigar’s legacy — the grower in Pinar del Río, torcedor in Santiago, and merchant who carried the art across oceans.
Facilitate Access
Through the relationships of our members, we bring the world’s most storied cigars to the fellowship, always through lawful channels.
Advocate Quietly
We champion the recognition and sustainability of the tobacco trade, especially for independent growers. Our advocacy is refined, intelligent and strategic, much like diplomacy itself.
Foster Dialogue
We gather leaders, thinkers and connoisseurs who understand that conversation is the highest form of diplomacy.
